Photos: Pro-Israeli, pro-Palestinian demonstrations clash at University of California, Los Angeles

Violence erupted on the University of California Los Angeles campus on Tuesday following days of pro-Palestinian protests and counter-protests in front of Royce Hall.
Counterdemonstrators threw objects at the pro-Palestinian encampment Tuesday night, escalating tensions to violence as fights broke out. Amid the chaos, chemicals were sprayed into the crowd, firecrackers exploded and barriers were ruined in the encampment.
The unrest come after pro-Palestinian demonstrators set up an encampment near Royce Hall last week, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and for UCLA to cut ties with Israel, including the suspension of study-abroad programs and divestment of all UC and UCLA Foundation funds from companies tied to Israel.
