‘Fat Embolism' Cited in Death of Woman After Plastic Surgery in Hialeah

New details concerning the death of a woman who underwent plastic surgery at a South Florida clinic were released Monday. Heather Meadows died of what’s called a “fat embolism” that happened during her procedure at Encore Plastic Surgery in Hialeah earlier this month, according to the medical examiner’s report.
