Fri., Jan. 24 – Talib Kweli at The Stage, 10 pm, $15 - $20
 
The Stage presents Beats n Rhymes Fridays, with each month featuring a classic hip hop artist and DJs. This Friday, hip hop legend Talib Kweli will be doing a DJ set. Known for his solo career and collborations with Mos Def as Blackstar, Talib Kweli has been a force in the game since the mid-90s. Also playing sets will be DJ Heron, Dj Selforn, and Dj Klassik.

 
Fri., Jan. 24 – Eagle Chief at Bardot, 10 pm
 
Eagle Chief, the trio formerly known as Arboles Libres, are hitting the carpet at Bardot this weekend. The Miami based group changed their name after they felt a shift in their sound after the last tour, but have been together as group since 2008. Joining the band at Bardot on Friday is Dash.
 
Sat., Jan. 25 – Disclosure at The Fillmore Miami Beach, 9 pm, $28.50
 
Between a number one album in the UK and a Grammy nod, the brothers known as Disclosure have already kicked off 2014 better than most people. The English duo will be bringing their deep house sound to Miami Beach this weekend, as they take over The Fillmore. Opening up at the sold out show is Samo Sound Boy and Vic Mensa, starting at 9 pm.
Sun., Jan. 26 – Against Me at Culture Room, 7:30 pm, $17.00
 
Since the late 90s, Against Me! Has been a mainstay in the Florida punk scene. The group, originally from Gainesville, Florida, has released five albums with their next album anticipated to be released in early 2014. This Sunday the group performs in Ft. Lauderdale at Culture Room, with special guests The Sidekicks and The Shondes.
