Both of Kaepernick's home and away jerseys are also the top sellers among 49ers players, according to Shop49ers.com.

Those jersey sales numbers do fluctuate often, but Kaepernick has certainly experienced a jersey resurrection. When the signal caller was benched last year in November, his jerseys were placed on clearance and he was nowhere close to the top sellers, according to SFGate and a former Mercury News reporter.

ESPN's Darren Rovell reported Monday that more Kaepernick merchandise has been purchased off the shelves since the quarterback's first reported national anthem sit-down than the past eight months combined.

Since Kaepernick ignited a national discussion about racial oppression and police brutality, the signal caller has drawn support from notable athletes including current teammate Eric Reid, NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul Jabbar and soccer player Megan Rapinoe.
