Authorities are investigating the cause of a Tuesday morning fire at a duplex in Hollywood that they're calling suspicious.

The fire broke out around 6 a.m. at the building in the 1200 block of North Dixie Highway. It was quickly brought under control and no one was injured.

Hollywood Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Joel Medina said the fire is being treated as suspicious, and said investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze.

It's believed the home was abandoned and had no electricity, authorities said.
