A man was hospitalized after he was shot in the face in northwest Miami-Dade Thursday morning, police said.
The shooting happened shortly before 4 a.m. in the 500 block of Northwest 118th Street.
Authorities said the shooting happened during a confrontation between at least two men. The victim was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was in an induced coma but was expected to survive, police said.
Witnesses said they saw a black Chevy Impala fleeing the scene. Several officers were at the scene early Thursday investigating the incident.
No other information was immediately known.
The shooting comes just a day after a man was shot in the face while riding a bicycle in Lauderdale Lakes. Authorities are still investigating that shooting.
