A man was shot in the chest and a woman was wounded in the stomach in North Miami in a drive-by shooting Thursday night, police said.
The suspect car rolled up in the area of 130th Street and Northeast 6th Avenue and someone inside opened fire, shooting many times, a detective said.
The weapon used was possibly a high-caliber weapon, and maybe an assault rifle, police said.
The victims were a man in a car who was shot in the upper torso, and a woman on the porch of a house who was shot in the stomach, investigators said. Both were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital by ground.
Officers were continuing to investigate at the scene late Thursday night.
