2 Teens Arrested in Gas Station Double-Murder

Julian Soler and Kennia Duran were shot and killed July 25

Miami Gardens Police have arrested two more teens who they claim were involved in a failed carjacking that ended in the murder of a young couple.

Wayne Williams, 16, and 18-year-old Dylan McFarlane have been charged with first-degree murder for the deaths of Julian Soler and Kennia Duran, who both were gunned down at a Mobil Mart gas station July 25.

Cops caught up to the teens late Wednesday night. Williams and McFarlane are in Miami-Dade jail on no bond. It was unclear if they had hired attorneys Thursday.

On Aug. 3, 16-year-old Eric Ellington was arrested in connection with the crime. Police said he was the gunman that pulled Soler out of his Ford Mustang and shot him at point blank range 11 times.

Williams shot 24-year-old Duran for no reason, authorities said at a press conference Thursday. McFarlane was the driver of the getaway car, police said.

Ellington told detectives that he shot 23-year-old Soler because he "didn't look scared enough" during the carjacking, Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said.

"It's painful to me to know he died because he was calm," Soler's mom, Janine Diaz said.

Police said the three teens went on a crime spree earlier and stole a Nissan Pathfinder and tried to rob a bank before going to the gas station.
