Boynton Beach Man Targeted Single Mothers to Sexually Batter Children: Police

A Boynton Beach man accused of raping children in the past is now facing charges in the sexual battery of a child beginning when she was seven years old, police said.

Jackson Pridemore, 49, was arrested Thursday on two counts of sexual battery on a child under 12 years of age, Boynton Beach Police said.

Authorities said Pridemore sexually battered the girl beginning when she was seven and ending when she was 11.

Pridemore would move in with vulnerable, single mothers of young girls and then sexually battered the children when he was babysitting them, police said.

Pridemore had been accused of raping other children in the past in the City of Boynton Beach and probable cause was established for his arrest in the sexual battery of a child in 2013, police said.

Police said when Pridemore was arrested at his home Thursday, he was found to be living with another single mother. Pridemore was being held without bond Friday, jail records showed, and attorney information wasn't immediately available.
