Carjacking/Shooting Suspect Back in Federal Court

The man law enforcement said carjacked three different victims and shot two people was back in federal court Friday and unlike his first appearance was alert and even shared a smile with his family members.

Moore is accused of a series of armed carjackings and a double-shooting that left one person dead Tuesday. Moore’s alleged accomplice, Jonathan Marion, a cousin, went through his first federal court appearance Thursday.

Moore’s alleged crime spree started when he carjacked a woman and her son on West Sunrise Boulevard and had them drive to I-95 where he ordered the woman and child out of the car. He suspect then drove south on I-95 to Dania Beach and committed a second armed carjacking near I-95 and Griffin Road. He then drove towards Hallandale Beach.

Moore was looking for his ex-girlfriend, Danielle Roland. Shortly after the second carjacking, Moore caught up with Roland and Johnson St. Louis. Moore shot both of them. St. Louis, an innocent bystander in the incident died from his injuries. Roland survived the shooting.

According to the federal complaint, Moore contacted Marion while he was on the run and said, “Don’t believe what you see on T.V….I hope that *expletive* dies!” He also said that he carjacked a woman and her son and let them go, “but regretted not shooting the woman.”

After a third carjacking at Pembroke Road and I-95, Moore drove northbound on I-95 and jumped out of the car near Broward Boulevard after crashing.

Federal agents said Marion gave Moore, his cousin, a cell phone and a place to stay while the wanted man was on the run. His family said Friday all they could for Moore now is support him in prayers.

Moore and Marion are both in federal custody facing multiple charges. Both will be back in court later this month.
