A man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting in northwest Miami early Wednesday.
The shooting happened shortly before 4 a.m. at an apartment building in the 300 block of Northwest 22nd Street, police said.
The woman, 32-year-old Kentraniece Lovest, was shot in the leg and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where relatives said she is expected to be okay.
Officials confirmed the man was dead at the scene.
Family members said the man shot the woman, his fiancee, before turning the gun on himself, but police haven't confirmed that information.
Relatives also said three children were in the home at the time of the shooting but were uninjured.
