Deputies have identified a woman they call a "fancy fraudster," and they have issued a warrant for her arrest.
The Browrad Sheriff's Office said Friday that they are looking for 39-year-old Lunise Clerveaux, suspected of stealing $60,000 from an elderly woman's bank account using false identification.
Clerveaux was caught on camera on April 17 at Wells Fargo at 700 E. Dania Beach Boulevard in Dania Beach, deputies said. She handed bank employees a fake driver's license with the name of Nancy Beringhaus, a 69-year-old Lake Worth woman, and correctly answered security questions posed by the staff, according to BSO.
Now, deputies are searching for Clerveaux, who has been known to live in Pompano Beach and Stone Mountain, Ga. Anyone with information is urged to call Det. Robert Feick at (954) 321-4255 or report anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
