A pregnant woman was hospitalized for smoke inhalation after a fire at a Lauderhill apartment building Monday.
The fire was reported at the building at 2551 Northwest 41st Avenue.
Lauderhill Fire Rescue officials said multiple agencies responded to the scene and encountered heavy flames.
Footage showed heavy flames and smoke pouring out of a fourth floor apartment as firefighters climbed a ladder to get to the floor.
Firefighters were trying to help victims who were reportedly trapped in balconies. Officials said an adult and two kids were rescued from a neighboring apartment but weren't injured.
The pregnant woman was the only one in the apartment that caught fire. The unit was a total loss, officials said.
