Glen Rice Sued for Miami Handball Tournament

Former Heat star sued by film crew for 2009 handball tournament

Former Heat star Glen Rice is being sued by a film and production crew that claims he didn't pay them for work they did covering a 2009 handball tournament.

The lawsuit against Rice, filed in Miami, claims he owes $22,320 to 15 people and 3 companies, TMZ reported Monday.

The 43-year-old Rice, who was picked by the Heat with the 4th overall pick of the 1989 NBA draft and became the team's first star in his six seasons in Miami, had arranged the tournament at the AmericanAirlines Arena in April 2009.

Earlier in the week, it was also reported by TMZ that Rice's ex-girlfriend had to call police to help get her things out of his Coral Gables home.

Rice, who also played for the Knicks and Lakers, was a three time all-star.
