A Hialeah Police internal affairs secretary is facing drug trafficking charges after authorities say they found marijuana and pot-laced treats in her home.
Aileen Martinez, 28, is facing charges of trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana following her arrest at her home on Coconut Avenue Monday, according to a Hialeah Police arrest report.
Martinez wasn't listed in jail records and it's unknown whether she has an attorney. A second suspect, 27-year-old Albert Duran, was also arrested and faces similar charges. He was being held without bond Thursday.
According to the arrest report, The Miami-Dade Police Special Response Team executed a search warrant at Martinez's home as part of a narcotics investigation. Martinez and Duran were found inside and detained.
Once in the home, officers found three Mason jars containing about 113 grams of marijuana, the report said. A fourth Mason jar had about 40 pieces of candy with labels showing they contained 50 mg of THC.
Officers found a loaded .38 special Smith and Wesson on top of a safe in a bedroom closet. Inside the safe were three plastic bags with 1,246 grams of marijuana and $8,952 in cash, the report said.
Also in the closet were 2 duffle bags and five cardboard boxes containing 437 "dessert treats" laced with THC, weighing about 48 pounds. A search of the refrigerator turned up 97 grams of marijuana wax and a container with 231 grams of marijuana oil, the report said.

Hialeah Police said Martinez has been employed by the city since April 2006. She has been relieved of her duties pending the outcome of the case, officials said.
