Hialeah Issues Boil Water Notice For Select Areas After Irma

Residents in two areas of Hialeah are being advised of a precautionary boil water notice in effect after samples recently taken showed possible contamination.

Those who live between West 84th Street to the north, West 21st Street to the south, East  10th Avenue to the east and West 6th Avenue to the west are being advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes must be boiled for at least one minute to be used.

A second area includes Palm Avenue to the north, Okeechobee Road to the south, East 10th Avenue to the east and West 10th Avenue to the west.

The notice, which will remain in effect until samples show the water is clear, is believed to be the result of recent repairs to the city’s water system following damaged caused by Hurricane Irma.
