Man Filmed Woman, Young Kids in Bathroom: BSO

A Broward man is facing video voyeurism charges after authorities say he filmed a woman and her two young children inside their bathroom.

Isaias Ramos, 32, was arrested Wednesday by the Broward Sheriff's Office on two counts of video voyeurism, jail records and court documents released Thursday show.

Ramos was being held on $20,000 bond Thursday and it was unknown if he has an attorney.

According to an arrest warrant, Ramos installed a device to secretly view and record the victim, a 25-year-old woman, and her two children, ages 5 and 7, between February and April.

Deputies found several videos on Ramos' computer of the victim and her kids bathing and using the toilet at a North Lauderdale home where Ramos rented a room, the warrant said.

“He abused that trust and obtained the video of her inside the bathroom when she didn’t want to be videotaped,” said Kalya Concepcion of the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

The woman told investigators she found the videos on Ramos' email account after his former girlfriend warned her of the videos and gave her his email password.

“The warning to people is just be mindful as much as you can. Do your homework,” said Concepcion. “He had no priors; so even a background check would not have revealed this.”
