Man Threatened to Post Ex-Girlfriend's Naked Photos Online: Miami-Dade Police

A South Florida man who threatened to post naked photos of his ex-girlfriend on social media if she wouldn't have sex with him is facing multiple charges, police said Thursday.

Evan Ryan Rodriguez, 19, was arrested Wednesday on charges of extortion, sexual cyberharassment, stalking and resisting an officer with violence, according to a Miami-Dade Police arrest report.

Rodriguez was being held on $24,000 bond Thursday, jail records showed. It was unknown if he's hired an attorney.

According to the report, Rodriguez's ex-girlfriend, a student at Miami-Dade College, reported receiving harassing messages from Rodriguez, who threatened to post the naked photos of her on the Internet.

While officers interviewed the woman at the college, Rodriguez sent her 20 text messages and she had at least 15 missed calls from him, the report said.

Rodriguez was cursing and threatening her, and told her that if she didn't come see him and meet him for sex, he would post the photos, the report said. He also sent screenshots of the photos being put on Instagram, the report said.

Officers found Rodriguez outside the college's main entrance, and Rodriguez said "I don't have to talk to you" and continued to text on his phone, the report said.

Rodriguez then admitted to telling his ex-girlfriend he would post the photos, the report said.

"I'm a guy, I told this girl that I would post her naked pictures because I wanted to see her," he said, according to the report.

Rodriguez said he would just delete the photos and texts and said she was 18 years old and that it was OK to post the photos online, the report said.

An officer told Rodriguez to put his phone down but he refused to comply and started to curse, the report said. Rodriguez struggled and kicked at officers as he tried to delete the photos before he was put in handcuffs, the report said.

The woman told officers she believes some of the photos she sent to Rodriguez in confidence were taken when she was a 17-year-old minor, the report said.
