Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Broward, Miami-Dade County

Thunderstorm warning in effect until 6:15 p.m., the National Weather Service said.

Thunderstorm Warning in Miami-Dade, Broward

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued Sunday for parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties, the National Weather Service said.

The warning will be in effect until 6:15 p.m. in northeast Miami-Dade and southeast Broward, according to David Ross, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

He said there were reports of one-inch hail in western Miramar.

Winds are expected to reach 58 mph or higher, the National Weather Service said.

Residents are urged to delay travel if possible.
