South Florida Man Vying to Get His Invention β€œOn The Shelf'

The Hialeah man has spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years. First, inventing the Analyzer Toothbrush, then creating promotional videos and wrapping his car with the product and information. All for a thought that came to him in 1982.

You can call it your 24/7 at-home dentist. It's a toothbrush, flosser, tongue cleaner, and it even comes with a camera and software.

"It scans all your gums and teeth," the inventor Luis Vila said. "It analyzes your oral care and it tells you if you have a problem."

"When I saw products like mine come out on the market, I was devastated," he said.

Vila wants it to "get on the shelf" at Walmart. It's the stores second time hosting the competition called "Get on the Shelf." Over 5,000 people have entered their product or invention. They are all made in the USA.

Vila is a finalist with his 21st century toothbrush that costs around $60.
