Luis Vila wants to get his invention, the analyzer toothbrush, on the Walmart shelves and has entered the "Get It On The Shelf" contest.
You can call it your 24/7 at-home dentist. It's a toothbrush, flosser, tongue cleaner, and it even comes with a camera and software.
The Hialeah man has spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years. First, inventing the Analyzer Toothbrush, then creating promotional videos and wrapping his car with the product and information. All for a thought that came to him in 1982.
"When I saw products like mine come out on the market, I was devastated," he said.
Vila wants it to "get on the shelf" at Walmart. It's the stores second time hosting the competition called "Get on the Shelf." Over 5,000 people have entered their product or invention. They are all made in the USA.
Winners will have the opportunity to sell their product on Walmart.com, but Luis can't get there without your votes. You have until Sept. 2 to vote. Log onto getontheshelf.walmart.com to see all of the entries.
Vila is a finalist with his 21st century toothbrush that costs around $60.
