VP Nominee Tim Kaine Meets With Florida Delegates at DNC

Vice Presidential candidate Tim Kaine is the latest high profile politician to stop by unannounced at the Florida delegation gathering.

Kaine, a Senator from Virginia and the former Governor of the commonwealth, tried to win over the crowd from the Sunshine State Wednesday morning before taking the main stage Wednesday night.

"Do you know it was not an accident that the rollout of the ticket was in Florida, that was no accident," Kaine told the delegates. "Were any of you at that event in Miami? Wasn't that a great event? We had so much fun, so much fun, but we started there on Saturday because we know how critical Florida is going to be this cycle and I have a feeling we are coming soon to a theater near you."

Many Bernie Sanders supporters have said they are not thrilled Hillary Clinton put him on the ticket.

"He wouldn't be our first choice but we would have preferred Elizabeth Warren or someone more progressive," Florida delegate Rick Neuhoff said.

Former Republican Florida Governor and now Democratic Congressional candidate Charlie Crist says Kaine is a good man to have in the No. 2 slot.

"He is tremendous, we were governors at the same time so I have known him for a long time," Crist said. "He is a great man, he is the real deal, he will be great on the ticket."
