Armed robber picks wrong target in Miami

A man who tried to rob someone at gunpoint may have picked the wrong target after the victim pulled out his own gun and opened fire in Miami early Monday.

The attempted robbery happened just after 3 a.m. on Northwest 36th St. near 15th Ave. when the suspect approached the victim with a gun drawn and demanded his personal items.

Police say the victim was also packing heat and the two opened fire on each other.

The unidentified victim was shot in the shoulder and taken to Jackson memorial Hospital, where he's expected to be fine. Police are still looking for the suspect, who may be wounded.

The suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a grey sweater and black pants.
