‘Pathway to Heaven' Photo Offers Comfort to Grieving Family

A beam of light seen in a photo illuminating from a fatal crash in Georgia last month has many calling it a sign from heaven.

"It’s like God just breathed comfort to my soul," said Judy Simmons after seeing the picture of what appears to be a pathway to heaven shining on the crash that killed her 23-year-old daughter, Hannah.

Her daughter's 9-month-old baby girl A'lannah and her best friend, Lauren Buteau, were also killed in the crash.

A woman stuck in traffic caused by the fatal accident was headed to work when she snapped the photo to show her boss why she was going to be late. At the time, not even knowing anyone had died.

She later showed the photo to her aunt, Tara Noble, who believed that the photo would offer comfort to the victims’ family.

Noble was determined to locate the families. And she did.

"I hurt so bad for two days until I got this picture, I couldn’t breathe," said Simmons.

Simmons says that the ethereal photo gave her more peace than she would ever knew it would.

Family and friends have since launched a gofundme campaign to help relieve some of the financial burden of the funeral costs for the victim’s family.
