Different Country, Same Result as Dolphins Fall in London

The Dolphins hosted the Jets in London on Sunday and lost for a third straight time

The Miami Dolphins went overseas and were unable to escape their issues as they dropped Sunday's game 27-14 to the New York Jets.

This loss came in London at Wembley Stadium where Miami won a game last year. This loss counted as a home game for the Dolphins which means they are now 0-2 at home. This was also the third straight loss for Miami after opening the season with a win.

Miami has stumbled to a 1-3 record over the first four weeks, after beginning the year with lofty expectations. The slow start has led to increased speculation that head coach Joe Philbin could be replaced. With Miami headed for a bye week, the rumors may begin to swirl even faster.

Poor defense was again on display for Miami, as was a dismal offensive showing. Miami had multiple three-and-outs early on, and had difficulty moving the ball. The Dolphins were aided by Jets penalties to score their first touchdown of the day. A pair of pass interference calls moved the ball down field, when quarterback Ryan Tannehill could not. The QB ended the day 19-44 for 198 yards and two touchdowns and two interceptions.

While the Jets moved the ball at-will, the Dolphins also helped out with penalties of their own. Miami was penalized nine times for 80 yards on the day. A lack of focus and discipline made things tougher on a Miami team that was already behind early.

Once again, Cameron Wake and Ndamukong Suh were unable to record a sack. The pair have no sacks this year, and a highly touted Miami defense has been a disappointment as a whole. Conversely, Miami's QB was sacked three times due to a lack of productivity from the offensive line.

The Dolphins will resume their season on October 18th when they head to Tennessee for game with the Titans.
