The Atlanta Braves are now 4-0 against the Miami Marlins this season after their 4-2 win on Friday.

Atlanta has an National League low 13 wins this season, but is undefeated against Miami. This was only the third win all season at home for Atlanta as it holds a 3-20 record at Turner Field. The Braves swept the Marlins at Marlins Park in early April in the only other meeting between the teams.

The Marlins have done a fine job this season against other teams, but these losses to a last-place team could end up costing them. Miami owns a 25-23 record overall and sits in fourth place in the National League East.

The Marlins were up 2-0 at one point in the game before Atlanta put two runs on the board in the fifth inning. The Braves would then take the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning and hold it for the win. Atlanta scored its runs on a hard liner off the glove of Martin Prado with the bases loaded. Initially ruled an error, the two-run single would have ended the inning if Prado was able to complete the play.

Adam Conley started for Miami and only lasted 4.1 innings. The lefty gave up eight hits and two runs while striking out three. Conley now has a 4.15 E.R.A this season after the no-decision in this one.

The Marlins will have Wei-Yin Chen start on Saturday in the second game of the series.
