Erika Glover is a South Carolina native who is happily making South Florida her new home. She joined the NBC 6 news team in July 2015 as a multimedia journalist under NBC Universal's reporter development program.
Before joining NBC 6 she spent two years with WYMT in Hazard, Kentucky, as an 11 p.m. anchor, reporter and fill-in producer.
Erika is a 2012 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and minor in international studies. She spent time abroad at the University of Ghana, Accra, where she interned in the sports department at TV3 Ghana. When she returned she anchored and reported for Penn State's award-winning college television station, the Centre County Report.
Erika was also selected to participate in the Penn State Washington Program as a C-SPAN summer intern.
When she is not out training for her first Miami Marathon or taking advantage of the beautiful beaches, Erika is spending time mentoring her little sister with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami program. She is always excited for opportunities to be involved in South Florida's communities.
