12/9: Get Scrooged

Classic holiday tale, ladies unite and play in a wonderland

SCROOGED: It's a classic holiday story and it comes to life on the Empire Stage in Fort Lauderdale. It's opening night for "A Christmas Carol", the story of the sour and stingy Ebenezer Scrooge and his journey through Christmas past, present and future. Check out the preview tonight at 8 p.m

LADIES NIGHT: Ladies grab your girlfriends and head down to Coral Gables for a night of shopping and bargain hunting. Store owners are leaving their lights on a tad bit later so you can search through the clothing racks for those sales. Girls Night Out runs from 6 p.m.  to 9 p.m.

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE: The PlayGround Theatre will take you into mythical words of creatures and grinning cats when Lewis Carroll's classic story Alice in Wonderland is told with a South Florida twist. There will be dancing, music, colorful video and Alice is a Catholic school girl who wears an Alexander McQueen-inspired plaid dress. Tickets are $20
