Mostly cloudy skies will hold steady for several hours Monday as South Florida hangs on to elevated shower and storm chances to start the week.

High temperatures should be around 89 Monday, with temps staying around 81 Monday night.

As soon as Tuesday the pattern will flip around and favor sunshine across the region. Highs will again be around 89.

A mainly dry, sunnier forecast will hold through the bulk of the work week before a few more storms return for Labor Day weekend.
