Scattered showers were quick to return across South Florida overnight, leading rain totals over one inch by daybreak Thursday.
Through the early drive and into the afternoon hours, showers will hang around in the forecast. Highs will be around 83.
Friday will be partly sunny with an isolated shower and highs again around 83.
The next front with sweeping change will come on Sunday, with temperatures gradually warming until then.
In the extended forecast, cooler weather is slated to return by the middle of next week.
