Sure, you've got some Brahms on your iPod for reading and dinner party purposes, but you're a rocker girl at heart. Impress friends by declining their invitation for sushi with a "sorry, I'm going to the symphony," knowing full well you'll be getting the Led out. Aphex Twin, Astor Piazzolla, Guns-N-Roses and Radiohead's Johnny Greenwood, too, at Amped, a part-acoustic, part-electronic show with a late-night, music and cocktail-infused party to follow. It's a night that only the New World Symphony could pull off, and it happens Saturday, December 12. Just try to refrain from yelling out "Freebird." This is the symphony, after all.
