New Footage Shows Gun Battle at Trump Doral Resort

Jonathan Oddi, 42, arrested after exchanging gunfire with police

New surveillance footage of a man's May rampage in President Donald Trump's Miami-area golf resort in which he exchanged gunfire with police was released Wednesday.

The footage, released by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, shows 42-year-old Jonathan Oddi opening fire with a handgun in the lobby of the Trump National Doral Miami resort.

Oddi is seen dressed in black and barefoot as he carries a handgun and large American flag that he took from a flagpole at the resort and drapes over the front desk. He fires several shots toward a chandelier and the ceiling and puts socks on before he starts throwing items and smashing computers.

When officers arrive, he briefly puts his hands in the air before trading gunfire with police and running up a flight of stairs, where he's taken into custody.

Oddi, who was shot in the legs, was arrested and faces numerous charges in the shooting. He remains behind bars as he awaits trial, and is due in court for a status hearing on Thursday.

Police had previously released officer body camera footage of the encounter.

Oddi is a resident of Doral and worked as a personal trainer.
