Shake Shack Miami Will Feature 30′ Ceilings, Bowling Alley Tables, Massive Outdoor Seating Area

At 1111 Lincoln Road, the first Shake Shack outside of New York will open in a building designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the architecture firm behind the Bird's Nest in Beijing, among others. Anchoring the already splashy development is Danny Meyer's burger and hot dog heavyweight, which will feature an atrium with 30' ceilings and long custom tables fabricated out of repurposed bowling alley lanes. All of the standard Shake Shack steel signage will make the trip to South Beach, too. Randy Garutti, COO of Shake Shack, described the location as being on "the local's end" of Collins, referring to it being off Alton and not Collins Avenue, conveying the Shack's broad mission of being a neighborhood place. Garutti walked the space, which is tracking for a June debut, with Feast this past weekend.
