Holiday Lighting Ceremony in Fort Lauderdale Beachfront

On Tuesday, 50,000 lights will illuminate a sailboat display located at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard.

Thousands of holiday lights will be lit in Fort Lauderdale Tuesday in the “Light Up the Beach” ceremony.

During the free event, 50,000 lights will illuminate a sailboat display located at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard.

After the lighting ceremony, the Florida 9th District American Legion Symphonic Band will perform a free outdoor holiday concert.

Fort Lauderdale elected officials, including the mayor, are expected to attend the event that begins at 6:30 p.m.

The public art display, which will remain throughout the holidays, will be illuminated with LED lights and digitally choreographed to holiday music.

During the 7 p.m. concert in D.C. Alexander Park, there will also be a kid’s zone with bounce houses, slides and pony rides.
