Website Helps Streamline Donations

Friendship Miami was the first non-profit to sign up for the service

With the holiday season in full-swing, many of you may be buying gifts for friends and family, but what about giving to non-profit organizations?

We've all been out and have been approached to give to a charity at one time or another but didn't have any cash or our checkbook on us. Sometimes you just don't know who or what organization to give to. An online fundraising service is answering all of these questions. It's www.nadanu.com.

Friendship Miami was the first non-profit organization to sign up for this service three years ago and since then, they say their donations have increased 50 percent.

The daycare and preschool for special needs children is a non-profit organization. For them, money is always tight having to rely on donations, which turn into care for kids like 5-year-old Noah Fix.

"I love it because I meet new friends here," Noah said. "I play with them."

When Director Chanale Fellig heard about Nadanu, she thought she hit the jackpot.

"I've never seen anything like it before," Fellig said.

Nadanu is an on line fundraising service that helps non-profit organizations and charities. All you have to do is log on, pick who or where you want to donate, and decide how much. It just takes a couple of clicks and you can do it on your computer, Facebook, or smart phone.

Like Friendship Miami, the service is free.

"It's a no brainer," Fellig said about using the website.
