A Sunrise man is facing 40 charges of possession of child pornography after authorities say they found dozens of videos in the home he shares with his elderly mother.
Steven J. Marks, 50, was arrested Tuesday on the child pornography charges and one count of marijuana possession, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office arrest affidavit.
According to the affidavit, the IP address at Marks' home was observed advertising and sharing child pornography images through the Internet between February and August.

Officers served a search warrant at the home on Tuesday morning and found Marks and his mother. When they asked Marks if he knew what the search warrant was for, "he covered his face with his hands and nodded," the affidavit said.
At some point, Marks requested to speak to an attorney. "My life is over," he said, according to the affidavit.
Officers examined Marks' computers and several CDs and DVS and found 40 child pornography videos, the affidavit said. Some of the discs were labeled "Guitar Lessons," "Jimmy Hendrix," and "John Coltrane," The affidavit said.

According to the affidavit, the videos showed male children between the ages of 5 and 15 engaging in sex acts with other children and adult men. Other discs seized from the residence and Marks' car are also being reviewed.
Jail records showed Marks was being held on $100,000 bond Wednesday. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.
