A woman has died after a hit-and-run crash involving a taxi in North Miami Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred around 6 a.m. along 132nd Street and Northeast Sixth Avenue in North Miami.
The victim died as a result of her injuries, police said. She was later identified as 38-year-old Junette Escarment.
According to police, the minivan taxi fled the scene without stopping. The taxi was captured on video but it's too hard to make out the company.
