3 Car Break-In Suspects Sought in Dania Beach: BSO

Deputies are searching for three thieves suspected of trying to break into several cars in Dania Beach then speeding away from the scene, hitting a patrol car along the way.

Broward Sheriff's Deputies say the two men and one woman were trying to break into parked cars in the parking lot of a Best Western located west of I-95 and Stirling Road.

Authorities said the manager of the Best Western noticed suspicious activity and called 911.

BSO and Fort Lauderdale Police arrived at the scene and the trio took off in two cars. One of the suspects hit a BSO patrol vehicle while trying to escape.

The patrol car was not damaged and the deputy was not injured. The suspects also hit other cars parked in the lot.

Burglary tools and cell phones were found at the scene, and deputies hope they will provide clues leading them to the suspects.

No further information was immediately available.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
