No. 1 – Teen Dies After Car Plunges Into Lake

A 19-year-old male is dead after car plunged into a lake in Miami Lakes Tuesday. One other woman was in the car at the time of the incident. She’s recovering in the hospital. A vigil was held for the teenager last night. An investigation is now underway.

No. 2 – Apartment Fire Leaves One Dead

Crews in Hialeah are investigating an apartment fire that left one man dead. Officials believe the man was trying to take his own life. A second fire started inside a pick-up truck in the parking lot.

No. 3 – Government Shutdown: Day 12

It’s day 12 of the government shutdown. For the first time since the shutdown, President Trump is expected to meet with leaders from both parties today to talk about the border wall.

No. 4 – Six Passengers Become Ill on Flight

Frontier Airlines officials are working to find out why six passengers suddenly became ill during a flight from Cleveland to Tampa. The nature of what made them ill or how they became ill remains unclear. Officials said they were not traveling together when they all fell ill. 

No. 5 – New Head Football Coach at the University of Miami

The Miami Hurricanes are officially introducing Manny Diaz as the team’s newest head coach. A news conference is scheduled for today at 10:00 a.m.

No. 6 – Winning Mega Millions Jackpot Ticket Sold in New York

Someone is waking up a multi-millionaire today. The winning ticket for the $425 Mega Millions Jackpot was sold in Long Island, New York.
