Armed Robbers Struck Miramar Pizza Hut, Took Cash: Police

Police say they're searching for three suspects after the Saturday robbery

Miramar Police say they’re searching for three young men who robbed a Pizza Hut on Saturday night.

Two suspects carrying guns jumped the counter of the Pizza Hut at 7996 Miramar Parkway while a third stayed at the door, police said in a statement Thursday.

Surveillance video shows two employees backing away as the suspects move in. One suspect then forces an employee to open the registers.

One suspect initially left bills scattered on the floor before another one picked up most of them, while still leaving some money behind, the video shows.

The trio fled on foot to a waiting vehicle nearby, according to police.

The suspects are believed to be between 17 and 20 years old, police said.

They described the first suspect as a light-skinned black male who is 5’7” or 5’8” tall, weighs about 135 pounds, has short hair, and was wearing khaki pants and a long-sleeved shirt.

The second suspect is a dark-skinned black male who is 5’9” to 5’11” tall, weighs about 145 pounds, has short hair and was wearing dark pants, and the third suspect is a black male who was wearing a dark hoodie, police said.

Authorities urge anyone with information to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
