Boy Punches Girl in Face at School After Break Up

School board confirms yet another attack at a South Florida school

Just days after the brutal beating of a young girl by a teen boy in Deerfield Beach, there has been yet another incident of boy on girl violence at a South Florida school.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested this morning outside his Hollywood school this morning after cops said he punched his 12-year-old ex-girlfriend in the face on a school bus.

The attack happened outside McNichol Middle School at 1602 S. 27th Ave. in Hollywood as the bus was dropping students off for classes.

After punching D'Angelique Coby, the boy, Sanchez Green, fled the scene but was caught by police a short time later.

Coby was transported by ambulance to nearby Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. She was released later in the afternoon and suffered a broken nose.

Green is being charged with aggravated battery and was in a Broward courtroom Tuesday in front of a judge. The judge ordered the boy held at the Juvenile Detention Center for the next 21 days while prosecutors decide if he will be charged as an adult.

Coby said green attacked her because she didn't want to be with him anymore.

It's the second such beating by a young boy on a young girl in South Florida in the past week.

Last Wednesday, Josie Ratley, 15, was severely beaten outside her Deerfield Beach Middle school by Wayne Treacy, 15, according to police.
