Early morning commuters in South Florida woke up to heavy downpours Wednesday.
A flood advisory was in place for Broward County until 7:45 a.m, and a significant weather advisory was also issued for upper, middle and lower Keys in Monroe County through 7 a.m.
The advisories were lifted, but heavy downpours continued throughout South Florida and through the early afternoon.
Flooding was reported in some areas, including a farm at 400th Street and Southwest 222nd Avenue in Homestead.
Motorists were advised to use extreme caution on slick roads.
