Residents in Hialeah were briefly evacuated Friday after a gas leak came from a construction site.
Sources tell NBC 6 that residents heard an explosion at around 10:00 a.m. in the area of West 4th Avenue and West 49th Street in Hialeah.
A pipe was apparently damaged during construction in that area, and police asked residents in some homes to evacuate as a precaution.
Crews were working Friday afternoon to cap the gas leak.
