Hialeah, Miami Named Worst Cities in U.S. To Spend Valentine's Day

The annual day that gushes love and floods social media with selfies of love-stricken couples is quickly approaching: Valentine’s Day.

Couples – and singles –may be making plans for a surprise weekend getaway or a simple candlelit dinner at home. But, where is the best city to spend the loving holiday? Hint: it’s not in South Florida, especially if you’re on a budget.

Hialeah was ranked as the worst city in America for Valentine’s Day, according to a new WalletHub study.

The study compared 100 of the largest U.S. cities to determine the most romantic and cost-effective cities to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Hialeah came in dead last on the list, while Miami ranked at 69.

The list also mentioned Miami as having one of the worst weather forecasts for Valentine’s Day.

St. Petersburg placed 62nd on the list, with Jacksonville landing a few spots higher at 58. Tampa moderately secured the 27th spot on the list.

On the other hand, the study listed Orlando as number four, naming it one of the best places in the country to celebrate the holiday.
