Inside David Beckham's Major League Soccer Team Stadium As Vote For Park Is Postponed

New renderings of Freedom Park were revealed as talks of the $1 billion retail, hotel and Major League Soccer stadium complex are postponed.

The Miami Herald reports that Miami Commissioner Manolo Reyes suffered an accident that postponed Thursday night’s meeting. The meeting will be rescheduled for a later date in November.

Miami city commissioners are considering leasing the Melreese Country Club site for the redevelopment. The team has been posting on their twitter page several calls to action, in hopes of getting support for the parks’ redevelopment.

The Miami Freedom Park Act Now website asks people to email their officials to vote for Miami Freedom Park.

According to the webtsite,  the project will not utilize any city taxpayer dollars and is 100% privately funded by club ownership.

The proposed complex called Miami Freedom Park includes a 25,000-seat stadium for home games played by Inter Miami, a soccer team co-owned by David Beckham. The group hopes to lease the Melreese golf course property for 99 years to build the complex.
