    Man Steals Pit Bull From Davie Residence

    • According to the Davie Police Department, the suspect was first seen on August 7 driving a gold-colored Chevrolet Impala.

    • A neighbor spotted the suspect removing letters from the victim’s mailbox and driving off, police said.

    • Days later, the same driver was seen on surveillance video burglarizing the residence and stealing the pet pit bull.

    Police are searching for a man with a “man bun” who is suspected of burglarizing a Davie home and then stealing a pet dog named Stella.

    According to the Davie Police Department, the suspect was first seen on August 7 driving a gold-colored Chevrolet Impala. A neighbor spotted the suspect removing letters from the victim’s mailbox and driving off, police said. Two days later, the same driver was seen on surveillance video burglarizing the residence and stealing the pet dog.

    Stella, an 8-month-old black and white pit bull, weighs 83 pounds and has a mole on the left side of her nose, police said. Stella also has a blue/grey left eye and a blue/white right eye.

    The suspect is described as a thin male with his hair tied in a “man bun.” Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Davie Police Department at 954-693-8200 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
