A man is dead after he was run down by an out of control van as he was trimming some hedges.
Around 5:30 p.m., the unidentified victim was working at 14761 S.W. 173rd St. when the driver of a white van traveling on the street slammed into him.
The driver stayed on the scene and called Miami-Dade Police. Rescue crews could not save the man, who died from his injuries.
It's unclear if the man was a landscaper hired to do the lawn or the homeowner. The driver of the van has not been charged with a crime yet.
