Traffic on the Gratigny Parkway was temporarily snarled Wednesday after authorities stopped a trio of robbery suspects they were chasing along busy highways in South Florida.
The pursuit of the silver Dodge Charger began with a bank robbery at a SunTrust at Wiles Road and University Drive in Coral Springs, police said.
According to the FBI, two armed robbers entered the bank around 10 a.m. and demanded money from an employee. The suspects were captured on security footage (pictured below) from inside the bank, the FBI said.

No one was injured but an undisclosed amount of money was taken, the FBI said.
The suspects were chased by several law enforcement agencies along Interstate 75 and onto the Gratigny Parkway where the pursuit ended in a crash just west of Northwest 32nd Avenue in northwest Miami-Dade, police said.

All three suspects tried to flee on foot but were taken into custody at the scene. One of the suspects was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment and one officer received a minor injury, the FBI said.
"They hit my car, that semi that was in front of me. I guess they ended up over there, and I seen them getting out of their car, jumping over the fence, and I guess that's when they grabbed them," said Derek Mendez, whose car was damaged in the crash.
Coral Springs Police said they were tipped off by a caller who noticed a group of men switching cars in a lot near the Suntrust. Inside the bank, a teller urged a customer to call police too.
"Two males entered the bank with masks on their faces. One armed with a crowbar, the other armed with a weapon, a handgun," said Coral Springs Police Chief Tony Pustizzi.

The FBI also said there was money recovered at the scene.
None of the suspects was identified. The FBI is looking into whether they may have been involved in other South Florida bank robberies.
"We are looking into this group. We had already seen them at other bank robberies," said David Beall, with the FBI's Violent Crime Task Force.
