One of the most prestigious personalities on Hispanic television is celebrating a monumental anniversary this week – with a star studded show case of the last 15 years on air.
Dr. Ana Maria Polo has spent the last decade and a half as the host of “Caso Cerrado” (Case Closed) on Telemundo (a sister network to NBC). Polo started as host of the network’s show “Sala de Parejas” (Couples’ Room) in 2001 before the show changed titles in 2005.
The daytime program gained such success that a primetime version was created for the show, which is seen in over 21 countries throughout Latin America.
Thursday, the show will air a special 15th anniversary episode at 7 PM. The episode will feature never before seen bloopers, reunions with past guest and performances by former stars of the hit Telemundo show “La Voz Kids”.
Polo, who has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, will also be honored by the Mayor of Miami, Tomas Regalado, during the show.
The host was recently honored by the network during the 2016 Premios Tu Mundo event in Miami for her years on the air.
