Charges against Michael Mouyal, court documents show

Federal prosecutors dropped charged against a man arrested in connection to a telemarketing fraud investigation.

Federal court documents show that wire fraud charges against Canadian Michael Mouyal, who was arrested in March, were dropped.

He was accused of running telemarketing companies that sold millions of dollars in insurance and extended warranties while providing little or no service. One of his call centers was located in Miramar.

Prosecutors refused to comment on the case.
