A small plane made an emergency landing in a Miramar field Thursday afternoon.
It happened around 3 p.m. north of Miramar Parkway, just east of Flamingo Road, near North Perry Airport.
The FAA said two people were on board, but they were not injured. Their names have not been released.
"Potentially this could have been a very bad situation, not just for the people involved in the aircraft itself, but for the residents in the area and the vehicles," said Jose Gregorisch with Miramar Fire Rescue.
Aerial footage showed the plane in the field with minimal damage.
There's no word on why the pilot was forced to land. The FAA is investigating.
